Well, a little too late for me. After I left - after the la-la land came falling down on my girlfriend and I - I started to realize what I had. Going back? Possible, but not likely. I only reminiss about the good things. And I do have fun. But I do wish I had had the sense to realize what large investment I had in the marriage.

Reading this post I realized I left it too late before I finally woke up to what was going on in my marriage. I always guessed that no matter how bad things were, we would still be together. If I had taken more action sooner, my mission to save my marriage would be so much easier. This is good stuff!

I agree wholeheartedly with what you've said here. It took my wife and I to long to realize that no matter how romantic the idea of love is, things will never just work themselves out.
